More commonly known as rebar, ASTM A615/A706 concrete reinforcing bar is milled in common diameters, #4 through #12, from Grades 40 to 120 carbon steel. The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute issued its second Industry Wide Steel Reinforcement Bar Environmental Product Declaration in September 2022. The carbon dioxide emissions factor in fabricated concrete rebar closely parallels the metrics of hot-rolled structural steel sections.
